Operators in Java | Zhullyblog

Operators In JavaAn operator is a symbol or character used to perform an operation. Take a good look at this  A  +  B  " + " Is the operator used here.
Types of Operator in Java • Arithmetic Operator •  Assignment Operator • Auto - increment and decrement operator • Comparison Operator • Logical Operator • Bitwise operator • Ternary operator
Arithmetic OperatorWhen we talk of arithmetic operator, we are talking about the general basic operator we use regularly to add , subtract , divide and multiply. The operators are represented by + , - , * , / , % Let's take a Java example on this.

public class sample {    public static void main(String[] args) {        int number1 = 10, number2 = 5, result;        // Using addition operator        result = number1 + number2;        System.out.println("number1 + number2 = " + result);        // Using subtraction operator        result = number1 - number2;        System.out.println("number1 - number2 = " + result);     …

Java data types | Zhullyblog

Data typesIn this tutorial you will learn about data type. What is data type?As the name implies, data type defines the values a variable can hold. This means that it defines the range of value a variable can take.We discussed earlier about variables and learnt that in Java, a variable must be declare and the type of data must be specified.
Types of Data type •  Primitive data types •  Non-primitive data type
PRIMITIVE DATA TYPESPrimitive data type specifies the size of value a variable can hold. Generally, there are eight primitive data types which are : • Byte • Short • Int • Long • Double • Char • BooleanBut primitive data types are sub-divided into and they are :  • The integer types  -- are data types that stores whole number , positive number and negative number only.  • The floating point types -- are data types that stores fractional numbers that is they take decimal numbers. Now, Leta talk about each of them quickly. • Byte : This data type stores value from -128 to 127. Java variable :How to declare a variable in Java

What is a variable ?A variable is container that stores data , text or numbers. A variable must have a name and also data assigned to it. SYNTAX
data_type  variable_name  =  value

Check this int x = 5 ;Int -- is a data type X -- variable name= -- assignments operator5 -- valueThe best way to declare a variable is simply by declare the data type, state the variable name and then assign a value to it. We would discuss more on data types.
Here are some important things you should know when declaring a variable. They are :
• Variable names are case sensitive in Java• Variable names must not have whitespace, something like this -- int num
Other examples are :

String firstName;  Boolean isTall =  True;  Int a , b , c ;
Let's move it.

Java programming syntax

In this tutorial, you will learn the anatomy of Java. We would use a simple example which is Hello world to explain Java anatomy. This tutorial covers the syntax and semantics of Java program.

public class FirstJavaProgram {  public static void main(String[] args){    System.out.println("This is my first program in java");  }//End of main}//End of FirstJavaProgram

Take a good look at the line of code above. Don't worry, I know it looks hard but don't worry let's break it down. All you need is a Java code editor and a cup of coffee.Let's get started.
Step 1Download a code editor on your Windows or Mac , save your program as helloWorld.javaYou may be wondering why I asked you to save as Well in Java, the name of the program must be the same as the one in public class name. Take a look at this.
Now let's take a good look at the program itself.
The class HeadingLet's take a closer look at this class Heading.public class HelloWorld

Introduction to Java programming

Java is a simple programming language created by James Gosling from Sun Microsystems in 1991. Sun Microsystems was later acquired by Oracle Corporation. The first public version of Java was Java 1.0 released in 1995.The current version of Java is 1.8 widely known as Java8. The basic idea of Java is to write code once and run it on several operating system.

Why Java ?There are so many questions to be asked when you want to learn Java and the first question is -- why do I have to learn Java. Well here are the some reasons why you should learn JAVA.1) SimplicityWhen we talk of simplicity, Java is one of the programming language that inherits this features. Java is quite simple which means it does not have complex features that can make coding tough.2) Java is not dependent on platformThis is one of the major reason why Java is widely used. Java program is not dependent on any platform which means that any Java code written in Windows can work perfectly well on Linux or Mac OS.3) Java is …

How to create a list group in Bootstrap - Zhullyblog

How to create a list group
In this tutorial, you will learn to create a list group using Bootstrap.

List are used for enumerate elements or items in either an ordered or Unordered sequence. You can decide to list the generations of computer, list frameworks of a particular programming language such as PHP and so on. We discussed list in details in the previous tutorial.

To create a list group, .list-group is used and the . list-group-item is used to list the group item.

This syntax is quite similar to HTML list. In HTML, <ul> starts the list and <li> is used to list the items. Quite similar right? . Click here to see how to create a list in HTML.

Let's see the code properly.
Here is an example.

The code

A list is an enumeration of things or item . A list can be used to enumerate and as well describe items. You can have list of things and also give description. There are three different types of list which are :

 • Ordered list
  • Unordered list
  • Definition list
Although in the HTML list I posted a while, we made mention of 4 types of list. Click here to see the tutorial.

Ordered list
Ordered list are list that have ordered form. This means that the items present in the list have an order.

Unordered list
They are list of items that the orders do not matter. Unlike the ordered list that starts with either numbers or numerals, Unordered list have bullets.

Definition list
They are list of items followed by the item details or description. They are used to list items and give more details about the item listed.

Unstyled ordered and Unordered list

To create an unstyled ordered or Unordered list, you use the .list-unstyled method.
Take a look at the two examples given below.
